Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome on Tuesday, June 18 met Haitian police officials at the National Police Service (NPS) headquarters in Nairobi to discuss the Kenyan-led Multilateral Security Support Mission to Haiti. In a statement after the meeting, NPS said IG Koome assured the Haitian police delegation of Kenya’s commitment to the mission. "NPS remains committed to collaboration in the mission, for the good of the people of Haiti, especially women and children,” Koome stated. “We are counting on your support”, said the Haitian Police official during the meeting.
